Big Cats in San Diego

As a Clemson Tiger, I seek out my university's mascot at zoos. I won't visit a zoo unless I see a plethora of positive comments regarding the happiness of the zoos and the well-established enrichment methods in the enclosures, as well as the implementation of successful breeding programs for several threatened species.

During my visit to San Diego, I made a beeline to the tiger enclosure, where I was pleased to see multiple tiger enclosures, all of which had very happy and content-looking tigers. After seeing the striped cats, I made my way to see the spotted one. The cheetah at this zoo had an unlikely companion with her in her enclosure... a yellow Labrador! I was so delighted by the cheetah having a constant friend and the amazing breeding program of the tigers really stuck out in my mind, so I decided to paint a cheetah and a tiger to remember my trip.
